The rise of the Internet in the last decade has brought about a new form of business that has revolutionized the way in which the companies operate. The rise of digital information and information technology has created a powerful tool that commonly enables consumers and companies to bring about the transformation of traditional capitalism. Company such as Trademe, have created a virtual marketplace for the collectivity of buyers and sellers improving the dynamics of capitalism. The company controls the accessibility, efficiency and information content with the tool of Internet. The digital capitalism remains constantly in the traditional physical market place, as well as on the Internet and the only difference lies in the efficiency of information transmission.
In the past, computers were luxury items but today, nearly everyone views them as a necessity of life. This changing viewpoint towards technology is creating conflicts in governmental and private agencies everywhere. Some studies even predict disaster will occur to the users unless the government mediates this matter. I believe there is no need for policies as it all comes down to the matter of personal choices based on their cultural background and interest fields of the user’s conditions.
