Privacy in the digital age: Facebook

When talking about the issues of privacy on the internet, I immediately thought about the recent controversy over the photo of the Spanish first family with President Obama at the UN, whereby the official photo that they took was posted on the US department's official Flickr page. The problem with that was that it was the first time that a photo showing Spain's Prime Minister's wife and children was published, since the law in Spain is vert strict concerning privacy and forbids newspapers and other media to publish photos or private information about politicians' families. The photo was removed from the page shortly after, but it had already been posted all over the internet, and despite spanish officials' efforts to erase all traces of this photo, it subsequently turned out on several Spanish newspapers' frontpages.
